Because the premises in Vienna were already too small in 1968, the company relocated to Asten near Linz. This site has allowed for the expansion to date and will ensure further expansion for many years to come. From a small enterprise with nine employees there grew an internationally active company, backaldrin now has around 850 employees in 17 countries and is active in more than 100 countries. Today, artisanal and industrial bakeries can choose from approximately 600 different products. The company headquarters in Asten has the largest production site. Additional production sites can now also be found in Amman, the capital of Jordan, Winterthur in Switzerland, Toluca in Mexico and Cape Town, South Africa.
